Why this exists

The UAE gives fintech founders three different rulebooks. Nobody explains which one applies to them.

A fintech founder setting up in the UAE is choosing between mainland, DIFC, ADGM, and (for anything touching crypto) VARA, each with different licensing paths, banking relationships, and compliance obligations. Most of that knowledge lives in the heads of a small number of lawyers, compliance officers, and founders who've already been through it. This show puts that knowledge on the record.

For fintech founders

Direct, specific answers on licensing, banking, and compliance from people who've actually navigated it, not another generic "UAE is fintech-friendly" panel.

For the ecosystem

Visibility into which lawyers, compliance officers, and banks actually know what they're doing: a real reference, not a directory listing.

For Anqor

The same production model as Off Plan, proving the format extends across verticals, and putting Anqor in the room with the fintech vertical's actual decision-makers.

Season one · nine episodes

Every jurisdiction question a founder actually asks, one per episode.

Same structure as Off Plan: each episode targets one real, specific fear or blocker, and points at exactly the kind of guest who can answer it credibly.

01

03

The Crypto Rulebook

What VARA actually requires, and where founders misread it.

Guest: a licensed virtual asset compliance officer
04

Jurisdiction Roulette

Mainland vs. DIFC vs. ADGM: the real tradeoffs, not the marketing pitch.

Guest: a corporate structuring advisor
05

The Stablecoin Question

Where stablecoins actually sit in UAE regulation right now.

Guest: a payments or treasury executive
06

Money Without Borders

Moving capital in and out of the UAE without tripping compliance.

Guest: a payments infrastructure founder
07

The Remittance Tax

The real cost structure behind cross-border money movement.

Guest: a remittance company founder
08

Funding the Unfundable

What it actually takes to raise as a UAE-based fintech.

Guest: a fintech-focused investor
09

The Africa Rail

The UAE as the corridor for Africa-bound and Africa-sourced capital.

Guest: a cross-border payments founder working the Africa–UAE corridor

Note: episode 9 here and Off Plan's episode 9 ("The Africa Corridor") both cover UAE–Africa capital flow from different angles: real estate investment there, payments infrastructure here. Worth cross-promoting the two rather than treating them as competing for the same guest.
